Our Member Departments
Water Resources
Water Resource personnel help residents by providing safe, effective and reliable drinking water, managing wasterwater, recycled water, and stormwater management systems. The Resources Division provides drinking water to a 12-square mile service area, and manages 20 miles of recycles mains.
Maintenance & Streets
Livermore has several Maintenance Sections for Streets Repair and Maintenance, Landsape Maintenance, Graffiti Fighting, Facilities Section, and Fleet Services. These sections provide a safe environment for the residents of Livermore by managing City assets .
Airport (LVK)
The Airport is a General Aviation Reliever Airport which serves private, business and corporate tenants and customers. Employees manage operations to help ensure the continued quality and viability of the Airport as a community and regional asset to its 460 tenants and for the region of over 300,000 residents.
Library
Library employees support three physical library sites in Livermore: Civic Center, the main branch, and two satellite libraries, Rincon and Springtown. Staff help residents find Reference materials, downloading ebooks and audiobooks, various special interest events, and more. The Library connects people to information, education and inspiring experiences to inhance life.
City Administration
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for providing a number of administrative and support services to all of the City’s operating departments, City Council, Commissions, City Manager, employees, and Livermore residents. The Administrative Services Department is comprised of four divisions: Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity.
Police Department
The Livermore Police Department is a crucial law enforcement agency dedicated to ensuring public safety and maintaining peace in the Livermore community. Each section within the Livermore Police Department has unique tasks and duties that contribute to the overall functioning and effectiveness of the department.
